A series of events designed to give local people the opportunity to raise funds that are critically needed to support the Meals on Wheels program in Skagit County.

Here are 4 easy ways you can help raise money for Meals on Wheels, a program that is vital in providing meals for homebound senior citizens of Skagit County.

1. Make a Donation!
No matter what you’re able to donate, your tax deductible contribution makes
a difference in a senior’s life.

2. Sponsor a Plate!
Plate Sponsorships are a great way to support Meals on Wheels. Businesses, organizations and individuals have the opportunity to become a Plate Sponsor during our 2012 fundraising events. Sponsors are recognized at each event and at all five senior centers in Skagit County, through posters, senior center newsletters and in newspaper recognition ads.

3. Collect Pledges!
The reason most people don’t give is simply because they are never asked – and it’s easy to ask when you believe in the cause. Your sponsors may donate any amount. Contact any local senior center or the Meals on Wheels office to receive a pledge form.

4. Attend a March for Meals Scheduled Event!
Please join us and bring your friends and family to any fun-filled event in support of Meals on Wheels.

Pet Food Drive

The Skagit Meals on Wheels program is still accepting pet food donations at as part of a pet food delivery program to help seniors feed their pets.

The Meals on Wheels program provides hot meals to homebound seniors, age 60 and older, who have difficultly preparing their meals. The goal is for Meals on Wheels to help supplement the cost of caring for the client’s pet by providing supplemental pet food. The pet food is delivered by volunteers, separate from their daily meal.

For more information, contact (360) 419-3420.
